Newbury Golf Center - Junior Golf Schools
Junior golf schools for boys and girls at Newbury Golf Center are a structured fun learning environment with small groups. Each of our schools will not exceed 10 children and will be taught by PGA professionals. During the school children will be taught the fundamentals of the golf swing, all aspects of the short game, and putting. They will also learn the rules of golf and etiquette of the game. This program was designed by our founder Erik Sorensen in 2001 while working at Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. Erik and his junior program were recognized by US Kids golf in 2007 as a Top 50 junior instructor and program in the United States.

There will be two teachers in each school and one will be a certified PGA Professional. We keep the student/teacher ratio 5:1.

We are a family friendly business and we know siblings who are close in age like to do activities together. It is acceptable to sign them up for the same school.

An average day starts at 9am and ends at noon, depending on the age group. We move the kids every 30-45 minutes throughout the property. We normally start the day with short game and work our way to the full swing. During our breaks we talk about rules and etiquette of the game.
